Story Theater

Original stories made up on the spot...just for you, and your family!

Story Theater brings new relevance to the ancient art storytelling, as Victoria Goring creates new stories live from children's suggestions.

Each story is a fresh new journey into imagination, with positive messages and guaranteed surprises!

Princesses spurn ballgowns, Wizards fly vacumn cleaners, Pirates love to bake! And everyone gets caught up in Victoria Goring's delightful, hilarious, family stories.

Story Theater is wholesome, intelligent entertainment that stimulates the imagination and inspires creativity. What child won't be amazed to see someone create a story right out of thin air?

Story Theater is an interactive experience that transcends cultures, instilling love of theater, while bringing families together in an activity they can all participate in.

How is Story Theater different from storytelling?
Story Theater is dynamic and physical, with Victoria acting out the characters. Without the constraints of a script, Story Theater adapts to suit every audience.

Is every show really unique?
Yes! Each story is improvised. Victoria asks the children to supply some details, such as the title, or perhaps something they are really good at. Victoria then makes up a brand new story! Each story is a gift to the audience, never to be exactly repeated.

How many children can you accommodate?
Please note that children cannot be just left at Story Theater, supervision is required. Intimate settings are ideal, but larger groups can be easily accommodated. Is there any special equipment you require? Yes! Groups over 50 will need to provide a microphone and a sound system.

Can you perform outdoors?
Absolutely!

Do you have a backdrop?
Yes! Story Theater has a 6x5" cloth backdrop that can be hung. Decorative flags can also be hung.

How many stories are in a show?
Each show has three to five stories, making a show that lasts about half an hour. Shows for smaller children are a little sillier and a little shorter, running 20-25 minutes.

How do you come up with your stories?
An actor and a writer, Victoria is also a mom! Which means Victoria has read thousands of children's books, all with a critical eye. Adoring children's literature, Victoria does not like to read stories which gender type or confirm cliché's. Story Theater are positive stories that encourage children to explore the world from varying perspectives.

What do you recommend after Story Theater?
Victoria is happy to visit with the children after the show or provide a Q and A. We recommend providing children with materials to write or draw or act out their own stories!
